Peter Doggett is one of the UK’s leading rock writers. His articles, reviews and interviews appear frequently in Mojo, Q, GQ and Record Collector, among other publications.

Between 1982 and 1999 he was the editor of Record Collector magazine. He is the author of Are You Ready For The Country (2000, Penguin Books UK/Penguin Books US), the definitive and widely-heralded history of country rock.

There’s A Riot Going On: The Untold Story of Rock and The Revolution, was published by Canongate in October 2007 to considerable critical acclaim. It will be published in the USA by Canongate US in September 2008.
