D.R.Schanker, an Indianapolis lawyer, holds an MFA in creative writing from Columbia University. He is the author of two crime novels starring the self-described ‘big boned’ Nora Lumsey: A Criminal Appeal (1998) and Natural Law (2001), both published by ’s Press. His short fiction has appeared in Triquarterly, Missouri Review, and the Chicago Tribune.
